Amish Corn Balls - Julie


In a large bowl, chunk up a loaf of bread (16 oz) and add:
3 egg yolks
1 can cream-style corn
½ tsp salt
¼ tsp pepper
1 ½ tsp poultry seasoning or sage
1 cup water

In a small saucepan, cook until soft:
½ cup butter
1 cup celery, chopped
½ cup onion, chopped
Pour over other ingredients in bowl. Toss thoroughly.

Form into balls (I just scoop with ice cream scoop) and put into a buttered 9” x 13” dish.
Melt ½ cup butter and pour some over each ball.

Bake at 375° for 25 minutes.

When in the last 10 minutes of baking, heat a can of cooked chicken (drained) and a can of Cream of Chicken Soup in a small saucepan and serve over balls.
