Bakery Frosting

2 cups shortening
½ cup non-dairy creamer
1/2 tsp almond extract
1 (32 oz) pkg confectioner's sugar
½ to ¾ cup water
Food coloring (optional)

In a large mixing bowl, beat the shortening, creamer, & extract. Gradually beat in the confectioner's sugar. Add enough water until frosting reaches desired consistency. If desired, add food coloring.

Store in refrigerator for up to 3 months. Bring to room temperature before spreading.

Yield: 8 cups
