Caramel Corn (Jodi)
2 microwave popcorn bags (unflavored/plain), popped
1 cup butter, melted
1 tsp. salt
1/2 c. white Karo syrup
2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
1 tsp. baking soda
Paper Grocery Bags
Place popped popcorn in a paper grocery sack sprayed with Pam. Combine sugar, butter, salt, and syrup in microwave safe bowl. Stir well.
Microwave on high for 2 minutes. Stir well.
Microwave on high for 2 more minutes. Stir in soda and mix well.
Pour over the popcorn. Mix up popcorn and syrup with large spoon. Close the bag. Microwave on high for 1 minute and 15 seconds. Stir up the popcorn and syrup. Dump popcorn out onto wax paper. Stir to break apart. Pick out the unpopped kernels. Can store in the refrigerator.
