Carolyn's Lasagna

Brown 2 lbs. Ground Beef and ½ cup chopped onion. Add 1 - 12 oz. can tomato paste, 1 can water, 2 bay leaves, 1 tsp. Parsley, 1 ¼ tsp. Salt, pepper, ¼ cup sugar. Simmer 1 hour.

Cook 9-12 lasagna noodles.

Layer Lasagna, sauce, ¾ lb. Grated mozzarella, ¾ lb. Ricotta or small curd cottage cheese. (I usually use cottage cheese, but both or either is fine)

Make 3 layers. Sprinkle w/parmesan cheese.

375 - 45 minutes. Let stand 15 minutes.

If you let it stand for 15 minutes it will "firm up".
