Peanut Crisp Bars

½ c. sugar
½ c. light corn syrup
1 dash salt
1 c. peanut butter
2 c. rice krispies
4 T. margarine
¼ c. brown sugar
1 T. milk
½ tsp. Vanilla
1-1/4 c. powdered sugar (sifted)

Combine with sugar, corn syrup, and salt. Cook and stir until sugar is dissolved. Blend in peanut butter. Stir in cereal. Pat evenly into a foil-lined square pan. In small saucepan, melt butter and brown sugar. Remove from heat. Add milk and vanilla. Stir in powdered sugar, beat until smooth. Remove cereal mix from pan. Peel off foil. Spread top with frosting. Chill, cut in bars. Yield: 4 dozen.
