Silver Bell Cake 1 Box of Devil's Food Cake Mix Prepare Devil's Food Cake as directed on box. Divide batter equally into three 8 or 9 inch round cake pans. Bake at 350 until done. (I think it is like 20 minutes, but don't count on that.) The cream cheese, cool whip, and butter all need to be at room temperature in order to make frosting. Once they are at room temp, add them all together into a large mixing bowl. Add the vanilla and beat until well blended. Gradually add the entire box of powdered sugar while continuously mixing with hand mixer. Put one of the cake layers onto a plate. Ice with 1/3 of the frosting and then repeat for next two layers. Grate a Hershey bar over the top to make it look like you spent all day on it! Enjoy!! Remember to keep refrigerated. |
